Kitchen Sheer Curtains, Made to Measure

Dressing a kitchen well is a sequence, not a single choice: fabric first, lining second, header third, and dimensions last — each decision narrowing the next. The goal is soft daylight that survives steam, splatter, and washing, and every product below can be configured to deliver it, because nothing here comes in fixed sizes. Enter your rod width and height, choose the lining that matches how the room is used, and we handcraft the panels from Oeko-Tex® certified fabric in our own workroom. Swatches are the honest first step (colors lie on screens; they don't lie taped to your wall), delivery takes 7–10 business days, shipping costs nothing, and the remake guarantee means a measuring slip becomes our problem to sew, not yours to live with.

Common Questions

Are sheer curtains practical in a kitchen?

They're the most practical fabric in the room: sheers wash cold and gentle, rehang damp, and dry in an hour — a wash cycle you'll actually do in a space that generates airborne grease. Heavy fabrics in kitchens absorb odors and rarely see a machine.

How long should kitchen curtains be?

Sill length, or half an inch below it — never floor-length near work zones and traffic. For a window over the sink, a half-window cafe panel keeps fabric above splash height while the top of the window stays open to light.

What about a window near the stove?

Keep fabric out of burner clearance entirely — check your range manufacturer's side-clearance spec before dressing that window. Where a curtain can't safely fit, a wipeable roller shade covers the gap and the sheers move to the other windows.

Do kitchen sheers give privacy at night?

No — with the lights on inside, sheer transparency reverses after dark. Kitchens are mostly daytime rooms so it rarely matters, but for a street-facing sink window, a cafe curtain in a denser weave covers the sightline that counts.
